Attended by Dr. Barakat, Minister of Higher Education, the 47th "Science Week" continues its activities for the second day on campus of Damascus University – Regional Planning Conference and its role in achieving sustainable development in Syria.
Today's activities included 11 sessions tackled the following points:
- "The impact of advanced technologies on regional planning", this paper is presented by Dr. Asif Diab.
- "The current situation of planning in Syria", this paper is presented by Mr. Ahmad Maatouk.
- "Capacity building in the field of regional planning(Higher Education)", this paper is presented by Dr. Najib Abdullwahed.
- "Future visions of regional planning in Syria", this paper is presented by Dr. Hussam Barakat
- "Capacity building in the field of regional planning (law and legislation)", this paper is presented by Dr. Ahmad al- Ghafary.
Dr. Asif Diab, the Superintendent of Scientific Research in Syria, presented a scenario to promote growth based on science and technology as well as innovation in Syria 2025 as a regional planning requirement.
