In his current visit to India, Dr. Barakat, Minister of Higher Education, is making discussions with his Indian counterpart to promote academic and scientific cooperation by way of establishing joint educational programs like joint MA in the field of technology as well as universities with much concentration on scientific and technological issues. 
It is worth-mentioning that the Syrian delegation is headed by Mr. Abdullah Al-Dardari, Deputy Prime Minister, and membership of Ministers of Higher Education and Electricity and President of State Planning Commission to participate in the activities of this summit meeting of Indian partnership taking place in Delhi.
The visit aims at creating a network of strong relations in the fields of Investment, Trade, Technology, Higher Educaiton and Scientific Research.
